nformation and Communication Technology Unit
Objective
To provide expertise
and services on application of ICT to the Commission.
The
Unit perform the following activities:-
- Implementation of ICT and e-government policy;
- Advise the Commission on
matters pertaining to Policies
related to ICT and e-government implementation;
- Develop and Coordinate
Integrated Management Information
System for the Commission;
- Ensure hardware and software are well maintained;
- Coordinate and facilitate on procurement of software;
- Establish and Coordinate use of
Electronic communications and uploading data on the website;
- Coordinate the designing
implementation and maintaining web-based applications and database of the
commission;
- Carryout studies and propose
areas of using IT as an instrument to improve service delivery to the
Commission;
- Prepare ICT Strategic Plan,
guidelines and procedures in line with National ICT Policy;
- To collaborate with PO-PSM in developing ICT standards for software and hardware
acquisition;
- Conduct Training Needs
Assessment on ICT and prepare capacity building plan;
- Perform and assess risks
management and control pertaining to ICT infrastructure and management
information system.
